BACKGROUND
XML is quickly becoming the de facto standard for exchanging data between today's systems, especially in manufacturing with the increasing adoption of ISA-95 (B2MML). Unfortunately, until every application supports the transmission and receipt of XML data, and all connecting applications use the same schemas, the integration problem still exists. The NLINK XML eXtender allows you to quickly and easily connect legacy applications to XML-enabled systems, and integrate XML-enabled applications that use different schemas to exchange data.
XML is a data format only, it does not define a delivery mechanism. The NLINK XML eXtender combines support for the XML data format and couples it with a number of communications methods such as HTTP (and HTTPs), DCOM, FTP and File System Trigger.
FUNCTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Fast to implement, the NLINK XML eXtender uses an XML Wizard to rapidly and automatically configure the NLINK meta-database from an XML schema or from a sample XML document.
Easy to change, the NLINK XML eXtender requires virtually no manual configuration.
The NLINK XML Wizard
The NLINK XML eXtender automatically handles HTTP and FTP connections for storage and/or retrieval of XML schemas and data, as well as local storage and retrieval.
The NLINK XML eXtender can accumulate data from multiple transactions, users and/or systems before producing an outbound file or data stream.
The NLINK XML eXtender fully supports the ISA-95 (and B2MML) standards.
Input and/or output can be scheduled or triggered by user action.
