The NLINK® WebSphere MQ® CoNNector® provides quick and simple connectivity between the NLINK Server and WebSphere MQ (formerly MQSeries) message queues. NLINK can pull any message off any local or remote message queue and apply content-based routing, mapping, transformation, and complex business rules before returning the message back to the same message queue or passing it to a new queue or a separate application. Messages can be placed on, or retrieved from, Web SphereMQ message queues quickly, simply and without any custom programming.

BACKGROUND
Today many enterprises have some or all of their message queuing provided by IBM’s WebSphere MQ product. For such environments it does not make sense to replace what may be a perfectly adequate message queue system with NLINK. However, WebSphere MQ by itself does not provide any of the benefits that an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) product can bring, such as content-based routing, mapping, transformation, and the application of complex business rules. By augmenting the WebSphere MQ message queuing transport system with NLINK, businesses can get all the benefits of a leading EAI and e-Business integration product while preserving their investments in existing information technology.

The NLINK WebSphere MQ CoNNector can aggregate data from multiple queues, messages, users and/or systems before producing an outbound message.
Receipt and/or transmission of messages can be scheduled or event-driven (triggered by a user action).
