BACKGROUND
Synchrono Manufacturing Planner is designed to create feasible production schedules, and real-time shop floor production priorities for manufacturing plants. Manufacturing Planner provides decision support in the areas of capacity and materials planning, production scheduling and execution, and capable-to-promise (CTP) delivery-date quoting. The continuous, closed-loop scheduling engine considers finite-capacity and materials constraints, and schedules backward and forward to generate feasible schedules for production and procurement. Unlike batch systems Synchrono is real-time, meaning you never have to shut it down and bring it up. It is always on.

FUNCTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
The NLINK SMP CoNNector offers many advantages over other approaches when needing to integrate with Synchrono's Manufacturing Planner:

• Fast to Implement. - The NLINK SMP CoNNector is configuration-based requiring no custom coding and uses the NLINK Configuration Module (NCM) to rapidly configure the NLINK meta-database.

• Easy to Change. - No coding is required to implement the SMP to ERP connectivity. Since the configuration is stored in the NLINK meta-database and manipulated through the NCM modifications and changes are simple and quick to implement.

• Robust and Reliable. - The NLINK SMP CoNNector is a mission critical addition to your company’s information systems. Store and Forward and Error Recovery are just two of the built-in reliability features that are not available in other approaches.

• Field Proven. - The NLINK SMP CoNNector has been successfully field deployed at several locations throughout the world for a number of years.

• Expandable. - Unlike other approaches, the NLINK SMP CoNNector is built on a full Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) product. It can be expanded to include connections to legacy systems, best of breed applications, the Internet, and more.

• Business Rules. - The NLINK SMP CoNNector provides more than just message delivery. It allows the user to build business logic into any transaction. Business logic is easily configured and changed for evolving business requirements, without programming.

• Data Combination. - The NLINK SMP CoNNector lets you easily aggregate and manipulate data from multiple sources before producing an outbound message to one or more other systems.

CoNNectors, eXtenders, the NLINK Server and NLINK Modules are components of a total environment for delivering process integration within and between companies. The NLINK product suite has been independently certified on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista as a pre-requisite for continued inclusion in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. As you would expect, NLINK operates equally well on Windows 2008 and Windows XP.
