BACKGROUND
There are certain operational circumstances where the use of a message queue to provide guaranteed delivery between manufacturing plants and the corporate head office is desirable. For such environments, NLINK can be used to complement, rather than replace, what may be a perfectly adequate message queue system.

MSMQ by itself does not provide any of the benefits that an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) product can bring, such as content-based routing, mapping, transformation, and the application of complex business rules. By augmenting the MSMQ message queuing transport system with NLINK, businesses can get all the benefits of a leading EAI product while preserving their investments in existing information technology.
