BACKGROUND
There are certain operational circumstances where the use of a message queue to provide guaranteed delivery between manufacturing plants and the corporate head office is desirable. For such environments, NLINK can be used to complement, rather than replace, what may be a perfectly adequate message queue system.
MSMQ by itself does not provide any of the benefits that an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) product can bring, such as content-based routing, mapping, transformation, and the application of complex business rules. By augmenting the MSMQ message queuing transport system with NLINK, businesses can get all the benefits of a leading EAI product while preserving their investments in existing information technology.

The NLINK MSMQ CoNNector offers many advantages over other approaches when needing to integrate with MSMQ:
Is quick and easy to install. Fast to implement, the NLINK MSMQ CoNNector is configuration-based requiring no custom coding and uses the NLINK Configuration Module (NCM) to rapidly configure the NLINK meta-database. Easy to change, the NLINK MSMQ CoNNector requires virtually no manual configuration and is Wizard-based making it quick and easy to configure. The NLINK MSMQ CoNNector can aggregate data from multiple queues, messages, users and/or systems before producing an outbound message. Receipt and/or transmission of messages can be scheduled or event-driven (triggered by a user action).

CoNNectors, eXtenders, the NLINK Server and NLINK Modules are components of a total environment for delivering process integration within and between companies. The NLINK product suite has been independently certified on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista as a pre-requisite for continued inclusion in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. As you would expect, NLINK operates equally well on Windows 2008 and Windows XP. |
