BACKGROUND
Today more and more enterprises make use of J2EE to provide standards-based, highly scalable and secure N-tier e-commerce solutions. These J2EE application servers must have the flexibility to interoperate with systems from multiple vendors, partners, customers, suppliers and resellers.
However, it is widely acknowledged that J2EE currently provides poor support for external connectivity to Enterprise Information Systems (EIS). Companies are currently forced to choose between tightly integrating their application servers and EIS’s via custom coding or the immature J2EE Connector specification; or loosely coupling them via asynchronous two-way messaging using message-driven beans and JMS. Although JMS provides clear architectural advantages, companies are forced to devote precious development resources to solve their JMS to EIS integration problems.
With the NLINK JMS eXtender, companies are now able to quickly and easily integrate their back office systems to their J2EE application server via message-driven beans and JMS. By augmenting their J2EE e-commerce system with NLINK, businesses automatically get all the benefits of a leading Enterprise Application Integration product, including content-based routing, mapping, transformation, and the application of complex business rules, while preserving investments in existing information technology.
FUNCTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
The NLINK JMS eXtender offers many advantages over other approaches when needing to integrate with a J2EE application server:
Is quick and easy to install.
Fast to implement, the NLINK JMS eXtender is configuration-based requiring no custom coding and uses the NLINK Configuration Module (NCM) to rapidly configure the NLINK meta-database.
Easy to change, the NLINK JMS eXtender requires virtually no manual configuration and comes with an NCM Wizard.
The NLINK JMS Wizard
The NLINK JMS eXtender can aggregate data from multiple queues, messages, users and/or systems before producing an outbound message.
Receipt and/or transmission of messages can be scheduled or event-driven (triggered by a user action).
The NLINK JMS eXtender supports almost all commercially available JMS implementations, including SonicMQ, FioranoMQ, SwiftMQ and many others.
ENVIRONMENT
 |
CoNNectors, eXtenders, the NLINK Server and NLINK Modules are components of a total environment for delivering process integration within and between companies. The NLINK product suite has been independently certified on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista as a pre-requisite for continued inclusion in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. As you would expect, NLINK operates equally well on Windows 2008 and Windows XP. |
