NLINK'S ABILITY TO INTEGRATE FINANCIAL SERVICES...PRICELESS!

This emerging player in the financial services market specializes in Merchant Card and Check Processing services. Their recent success has been built upon a commitment to extensive research that enables them to offer extremely competitive pricing of the discount rate charged to merchants, and the associated processing equipment. Countless hours and thousands of dollars are routinely spent researching the best values from equipment manufacturers and creating an inventory surplus. Cost savings derived from this process are then passed on to customers in the form of lower purchase or lease prices.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM
This financial services customer needed a way to interface their credit card approval processing systems to a geographically remote and shared Mainframe system. In the Financial Services sector, where security, reliability and scalability are key, the customer realized that their integration needs could be best provided by an integration specialist, such as Junot Systems, rather than developed in-house. A key requirement for them was to consolidate their interfaces to a single platform since coding interface programs to move data between their various systems was becoming a software development and maintenance nightmare.

THE NLINK SOLUTION
NLINK® helped facilitate the automated processing of Credit Card credit approvals between Mainframe, Legacy and an Oracle Applications Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by providing both a solution to the specific Mainframe integration problem and a foundation for future growth. Since this was a relatively simple project, the analysis and configuration time was approximately 3 weeks; 2 calendar weeks of customer analysis time and 1 man week of Junot Professional Services configuration.

NLINKArchitecture

Once the NLINK solution was in place, the customer realized that a follow-on benefit of already having NLINK in-place was that it could be used to circumvent otherwise unavoidable delays in their Oracle Applications roll-out as certain of their outsourced ERP components experienced unexpected project delays.

ENVIRONMENT

CoNNectors, eXtenders, the NLINK Server and NLINK Modules are components of a total environment for delivering process integration within and between companies. The NLINK product suite has been independently certified on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista as a pre-requisite for continued inclusion in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. As you would expect, NLINK operates equally well on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
