STORE & FORWARD
NLINK provides persistent local data storage that allows transactional information to be temporarily stored during unscheduled external systems or network downtime. Once the external system comes back online and re-establishes communications with the NLINK Server, the transactional data is processed and forwarded onto the now functional external system.
ERROR RECOVERY
Extensive exception handling, debugging, and error reporting capabilities have been designed into the NLINK Server. Several error logging and error recovery file options can be specified, including the level of errors that are reported, making error recovery a flexible and configurable process. An integrated NLINK Transaction Log Viewer application is provided to further simplify the administrative tasks of viewing, interpreting and dealing with system error conditions.
ALERT MODULE
The NLINK Alert Module provides e-mail or pager alerts and notifications from NLINK to business analysts and IT support staff using the Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP). With the NLINK Alert Module, NLINK can proactively notify support staff of any error or potential error condition, keeping your systems running smoothly by keeping systems outages to an absolute minimum.
CLUSTER MODULE
NLINK is an enterprise-class application designed to function as an integral component in your mission-critical 24x7 business operational environment. Junot Systems provides the NLINK High Availability Module in combination with the Compaq ProLiant CL380 to provide an off-the-shelf clustering solution for NLINK customers requiring a Highly Available and Fault Tolerant two-node system that is pre-packaged in a cost-effective, space efficient form factor.
To better understand the technical aspects of the NLINK Server we recommend that you review the NLINK Architecture White Paper. It describes the internal architecture of the various major components of the NLINK product suite, which includes the NLINK Server, NLINK CoNNectors and eXtenders, and the NLINK Configuration Module. In addition to a high-level architectural overview it goes on to discuss some of the more important features incorporated in each component and relates them back to the underlying product architecture.
