Within the EAI market-space the term Adapter is often used to denote connectivity. There is however one major difference between Adapters and NLINK's CoNNectors which is that NLINK CoNNectors are not transaction-specific whereas Adapters usually are. For example, the NLINK CoNNector for SAP supports all 10,000+ SAP business transactions and functional modules. Competitor's SAP Adapters are often transaction-specific in that they only support a single functional module and/or a limited set of transactions.
NLINK CONNECTORS
NLINK CoNNectors connect the NLINK Server to a particular external system, (i.e. NLINK CoNNector for SAP). NLINK CoNNectors are extremely simple to create and contain absolutely no formatting, mapping, transformation, data routing or business logic. NLINK CoNNectors are provided by Junot Systems, our Implementation Partners, Technology Partners or in some cases by our Customers.
NLINK EXTENDERS
NLINK eXtenders extend the capability of the NLINK Server by allowing it to communicate through a variety of communications mechanisms, protocols and standards that are not specific to any particular product, (i.e. SOAP, DCOM, XML, SQL, Flat File, etc.). NLINK eXtenders are developed and maintained exclusively by Junot Systems.
